Even working as a freelance illustrator, since 2018 I have started drawing a personal project for my own story. Finally after 3 years, in middle of 2021 I finished my first graphic novel “Sceadu” ("Bóng" in Vietnamese).

 

The story is about a boy. He woke up in a desolate place, surrounded by nothing but his own shadow. Having no idea where to go, he decided to follow the direction of the shadow. Since then, the journey of the boy and his shadow began, across the desert to an oasis and straight into a foreign country, where humanity is blinded by the lust for Red Stone, the most revered energy ore there. By accident, he awakened his shadow by drawing eyes for it with white chalks which are given to him by a mysterious master. What will the boy and his shadow have to do and what will be in the end of their journey in a world of glory and perish, where the battles over the Red Stone were still repeated again and again?

 

No one had the answer but it seemed like when the gears turned, things were unstoppable. All had to move forward, just like the boy who kept moving forward by following his shadow.

 

This graphic novel belongs to the genre of fantasy, consists of 3 volumes in total 1064 pages.:

- Vol 1: White chalk.

- Vol 2: Red Rock.

- Vol 3: Black shadow.
